SNSD — 2 months of “Genie” promotions
This past weekend, SNSD concluded promotions of their mini-album “Genie / Tell Me Your Wish” after 2 months of nonstop activity. Although their military image concept was phenomenal and the CD was well received, “Genie” wasn’t quite the blockbuster “Gee” was.
Nevertheless, to commemorate all their hard work, here’s a look back at the variety of outfits they’ve worn during live performances. I focused only on appearances on the big 3 TV programs: KBS Music Bank, SBS Popular Song Inkigayo and MBC Music Core. Hard to pick just one favorite costume, but I love the girls in camo.
I took these screencaps from 1080P HD .ts and .tp files while looking for high-res images to use in my arcade stick design. Unfortunately, I had trouble getting crystal clear screencaps. Even though the recordings were technically at 1080P resolution, whoever recorded them introduced some graininess into the videos while processing. The video artifacts made them unusable in my design, but resized to low resolution, they don’t look too bad. As a contribution to the SNSD fan community, here are my original screencaps at full resolution with no watermark. Do with them as you wish!
Parade of images ahead… they are arranged roughly by color. They used the same costumes in multiple performances so I’m only displaying one image of each.

I can’t wait to see SNSD’s next project but take a well-deserved break!
UPDATE: Somebody created this cool video compilation of these live performances. All 25 screens are synchronized to the song plus they’re arranged in chronological order from the Comeback Stage to the Goodbye Stage. Gives me a headache after a while, but nevertheless well done!
